It’s been what feels like a week of giving and random acts of kindness here in BC.
After a go fund me page raised over $18,000 in less than 24 hours for a little girl whose motorized wheelchair was stolen, there’s a new reason to pay it forward today.
According to Global BC a kind viewer has left one little Maple Ridge boy with a smile on his face after losing what he treasured most when his whole home burned down last Saurday.
Kayla Ego says four year old son Ryder has down syndrome.
On top of his family losing everything in a fire last week he’s lost his way to communicate: a special set of signing DVD’s.
“This is how Ryder learned to communicate with us and how he continues to learn to communicate with other people. Without it he’s almost stunted.”
When Rachel Coleman of TV show “Signing Time” found out, she was on the next plane to Ryder.
“I know when you have a kid with a disability, when you find something that works, it’s a life saver.”
Needless to say, little Ryder has found his smile again after losing everything else.
