Steve Moore's brother says no deal in place

The Vancouver Canucks say a deal is done between Todd Bertuzzi and Steve Moore, but Moore’s camp says there is no such deal in  place.

Earlier today, Moore’s brother Mark said Steve was confused by yesterdays media reports that he and Todd Bertuzzi had a settlement in place in regards to Bertuzzi’s on-ice attack of the former Colorado Avalanche forward in March of 2004.

Mark Moore said his brother was concerned and, because of his injury, Steve has trouble making decisions and didn’t know how to handle the media reports.

The Canucks then released a statement saying reports of a done-deal were accurate.

“Canucks Sports & Entertainment confirms that a mutually agreeable and confidential settlement of the action commenced by   Steve Moore against Todd Bertuzzi and the Vancouver Canucks has been reached. The settlement is a result of mediation sessions with former Ontario Chief Justice Warren Winkler. No further details will be disclosed and the Canucks respectfully decline requests for comment.”

There has been no further comment from the camp of Steve Moore.
