Vancouver Fire Department says heritage homes destroyed in early morning blaze

Vancouver, BC, Canada / (CKNW AM) AM980

“No injuries, the houses were unoccupied.”

Two abandoned heritage homes in the 1000 block of Keefer Avenue in Vancouver are completely destroyed after a fire this morning.

Assistant Fire Chief Dale Booth says there’s still no word on what caused the blaze – which also spread to a third heritage home.

“It is under investigation and we’ll make a determination on what we are going to do with the building.”

Traffic in the area was blocked off for some time earlier this morning.
