Police are confirming a search at a property near Calgary is part of the investigation into the disappearance of a five-year-old and his grandparents.
Investigators are searching the acreage on a tree-lined driveway, just northeast of Airdrie, Alberta, which is a bedroom community just north of Calgary.
Police have issued a statement saying a vehicle that matches the description of one they were looking for has been located at the scene.
They also say a man is being questioned.
But police caution it’s too early to say if the man, the vehicle or the property are connected to the disappearance of five-year-old Nathan O’Brien and his grandparents Alvin and Kathy Liknes.
Police say given the size of the property, they’ll likely be at the scene for 24 to 36 hours.
The three Calgary residents disappeared from their home on Monday. Calgary Police have confirmed there was evidence that a violent incident took place in the home.
