On June 12th, the BC Teachers Federation gave notice to begin a full-scale teachers strike on June 17th.
This after 86% of teachers voted in favour of escalating job action.
Unless a deal is reached by tomorrow morning, all schools will be closed and parents are advised to make alternative childcare arrangements.
Grades 10 to 12 final exams and report cards ruled an essential service.
Last week the Labour Relations Board rules that teachers must supervise students writing Grade 10 and 12 provincial exams, as well as submit final Grade 12 grades.
All BC Provincial exams are schedule between June 16th and 26th.
