The investigation continues into a Langley barn fire that killed more than a dozen horses.
Langley Fire Assistant Chief Pat Walker says measurements and site evaluations are being done this morning, but he doesn’t think that will lead to determining the exaact cause because of the extensive damage.
He says, “We’re waiting to see what the insurance company wants to do with their private investigators and see if they can come up with anything – assessment – as far as the electrical goes or any other hazards that were perhaps in the building. But we can’t find anything at this point. It’s truly undetermined”
Walker says even the final number of horses killed by the blaze is not yet known – it could be as many as 20.
The the 2-alarm blaze at 224th Street and 40th, Avenue, on the property of the All Seasons Mushroom Farm, broke out yesterday afternoon.
