Kinder Morgan seeks NEB extension

Vancouver, BC, Canada / (CKNW AM) AM980

Kinder Morgan has asked the National Energy Board for an extension to respond to thousands of questions about its proposed Trans-Mountain oil pipeline expansion.

Kinder Morgan Vice President Scott Stoness says his staff have been overwhelmed with more than 10-thousand questions from intervenors in the NEB review hearing process s and cannot answer them all before the June 4th deadline.

“It is a tremendous effort. We have been asked over 10,000 questions and we have been working on it for two and half weeks now aside from short breaks at night almost all the time.”

Stoness says they want the National Energy Board to push off the deadline.

“We have asked the National Energy Board to move the deadline from the 4th of June to the 27th of June.”

He says if the deadline is not moved his staff will only get to about half of intervenors questions.

At $100 a barrel . . . how many tankers will it take to put Canada’s Balance of Trade in the BLACK?
Exports = Jobs, Tax Revenue, Royalty Revenue and cash for social programs, pensions and tax cuts . . . . only the completely uninformed Ludites want the status quo.
