@AndreaK_5056 sucks the way the system works, but a judge can only rule on precedence presented without starting a cascading waterfall of appeals. Just look at the crap Alexa Middelaer's family has gone through, and that was a just almost unreasonably mild sentence.
The only way to change this garbage from happening is to increase the minimum sentences for violent crimes and put them in less hospitable prisons so they don't want to go back because they're missing their favourite premium tv channels.

@LauraI No one deserves to be treated the way this guy apparently does. He needs a nice little room at the grey concrete motel for the remainder of the time that he is considered a risk.
