"Modest" is the word being used by the B-C Real Estate Association to describe home sales in this province.

4500 sales were recorded by the Multiple Listing Service in February - that's down 24 per-cent from the same month a year ago.

Total sales dollar volume was down 30 per-cent from last year and the average price was down 8 per-cent.

Associaton Economist Cameron Muir says despite improved affordability, many potential buyers and sellers remain in a holding pattern.

Modest... is that a way to say you drove the prices so high that no one can afford to buy anymore.
Me thinks the market correction has begun.

@RichardF_4221 Once the Dixter takes over he has the cure for high home prices . . . back in the 90's they trimmed 30% off the price of Real Estate in the Lower Mainland . . . so houses became CHEAPER.

But there was one problem . . . if you worked for MacBlo, Woodwards or in the Mining Industry, or numerous other companies that went BROKE or Left the Province . . . YOU DIDN'T HAVE A JOB . . .

Just think when $20000 seemed like alot of money to pay for a house when your paycheque was $150 per month.

Vancouver are homes are expensive due to the fact many buyers invested and bought and sold within Vancouver over the last 40 years.

Lesson to everyone? Do not wait to invest.

Also...the Fraser Valley is still very affordable and Surrey is the number one city in Canada to invest in.

Remember....THINK LONG TERM WHEN YOU BUY A HOME.

    CHEERS!!!!!
