She's back, a former mayoral candidate is finally getting the BC Liberals nomination she has has been looking for, after failing the first time around.

The BC Liberal have made it official Suzanne Anton will be their candidate in Vancouver-Fraserview.

Anton recently tried to secure the nomination in Vancouver-Quichena but lost in a race to Andrew Wilkinson to represent the party.

As of last week no one had even filed papers to be the liberals candidate in Vancouver-Fraserview.

So Anton was acclaimed.

She replaces current Liberal MLA Kash Heed who won't be running again.

In the spring election Anton, who does not live in the riding, will face Gabriel Yiu who is running for the NDP.

Anton is also a former NPA-Vancouver mayoral candidate who lost to Gregor Robertson in the last civic race.

Well, she sure would've been better than Gregor.

@Ron_26 Yeah, with Sam Sullivan as her advisor and both and running for the Liberals/Cons of the coalition! I believe they both are Cons and the Sullivan is vying for the top spot, Premier! Go NDP Go

@raulduke That would describe 95+% of politicians.

Alex Tsakumis had this story a week ago. It's sort of reminiscent of the latest piece written about the Auditor rapping the NDP. Again Alex pointed this out TWO WEEKS before this tired old dinosaur came out. Gabriel Yiu must have cracked open the champagne bottles when he found out. Anton will get blown out of the water (again).

If anyone is interested, go to google and type in, ELECTION PREDICTION PROJECT.
It is a site that runs a projection and prediction of what every 85 ridings is thinking in terms of voting.
It is not bogus like Angus Reid, and does not admit a prediction when the riding is too close to call.
This site will run right on to voting day. At the end of the election they post their results against the actual results of the election. They have also done it for other elections in Canada.
As Adrian Dix has stated over and over, the election is going to be a nail biter. This site proves that.

@joes_2868 your like a broken record...spouting off the same garbage in every post...nail biter? you have to be kidding yourself...he said that eons ago, well before the latest scandals they have put themselves in...it just gets wosre and worse every day day for the Liberals...dont you read the comments sections of all the local blogs? they are all inudated with liberal hate....anyways Anton Your runnning in Fraserview a highly ethnic riding...last time i checked your whiter than casper....good luck with that.

@joes_2868 That's pretty neat. There are some too close to call ridings. I believe the Liberals will earn up to 30 seats. They will not be wiped away like the NDP of the 90s.

Polak, de Jong and Coleman will still be MLAs. There are ridings that will never go NDP.

Commonsense: So true. These comments from the NDP'er's just won't admit to reality.
The reality is that the Liberals could never take the seat away from NDP Jenny Kwan and the NDP could never take the seat away from Liberal Rich Coleman.

The only problem I do not think she can win in the provincial election, she better try for mayor again, Same for George Wong for the NDP
