Liberal cabinet minister wants complaining back benchers to shut up

Premier Christy Clark doesn't seem worried but at least one cabinet minister is getting fed up with complaining from the Liberal back bench.

The latest to publicly criticize the Premier is her former leadership rival Kevin Falcon, but several other MLA's have recently let it be known they're not happy with the boss.

Clark herself shrugs it off.

"Well you know what, I don't know what motivates anybody's comments..."

But Community Minister Bill Bennett is getting fed up.

"Well there's an issue with a whole bunch of people who aren't running again and aren't invested the same way that you are when you are running, so you think you can just say whatever you feel like saying and there's no consequences and for them I guess there aren't."

As for Falcon himself, he seems to have gone to ground and was not making any comments today.

Your own party hacks are not happy with your performance Premier because you've done a terrible job. Why don't go and do something that you can actually hadle dear Premier?

Almost nothing is as funny as watching the lieberals that climbed out of the cess pool turning on each other.

So Clark says " Well you know what, I don't know what motivates anybody's comments.."
What actually has to happen for Clark to pause and think to herself " is it possible it could be me?"

Taxed to death do you have too write such dribble? I mean really calling someone a thief and foul mouthed on a page while hiding your name and identity is really being a coward. No need for that kind of dribble you don't like or agree with people that's one thing but to write that trash is another why don't you come out and tell us your real name and I'd yourself Don't be a coward

@BrianD_7 Unfortunately it's very common in a certain party. I doubt it would bolster support from decent people.

@BrianD_7 Well said ...... The comments resemble more the barkings of a mad dog than coheherent and rational thoughts from an adult ( both in age and intellectual maturity ).

People enter politics to make a difference no matter what political stripe they have . They don't put there name there lives and the will to run to make things harder for people . They run for office to make a difference they make decisions that they feel are right . It's going to be hard to find people who are qualified to run for office if we treat them like trash. Petty name calling with a bunch of untruths is not needed. To hide behind a name is cowardly

@BrianD_7 The Liberal/Cons of the coalition came to office to give a 25% tax cut that benefited the wealthy and now we are short and pay fees here and there.$billion smart meters, hydro will have climbed in 12yrs 82% our gas will go up also! Ripping up contracts the lying about BC rail and contracts, then the HST,on and on! They came to help themselves and corporations, not people! If people told you their name would you just sue to make a buck! Typical of the helping Liberals/Cons of the coalition! Go NDP Go

People enter politics to make a difference... Whata joke... People enter politics so they can get there snoot in the cash pail and lie. Tell me one that

@PhilW_2 And politicians that disappear and come back do so to even the score. Show me a politician that is selfless and acts in good nature.

If you do, he or she is part of a weak party or is a backbencher and not holding a cabinet portfolio.

And the drama continues on even if Adrian Dix and the NDP win government. There are only so many cabinet positions to be given out and after the positions are all taken, Adrian Dix will have the famous task of trying to keep his team united. GOOD LUCK! Greed seems to come first these days.

@joes_2868 Please! Wishful thinking on your part, happy to see your party is falling apart!I will bet Kevin falcon will be the BCCP camp soon enough!haha more of the same. Go NDP Go

Ken280: Greed is too common now a day. As I said, if Adrian becomes boss, he will have trouble keeping the troops united.

If the party wants the members to quit complaining maybe they should quit giving them good reason to complain!

bctaxpayer: "GO NDP GO". They need 49% plus of the popular vote to win win government and there isn't much time to achieve that before the election.
Adrian Dix will also have to answer about the NDP blunders in Manitoba and Nova Scotia during the election campaign.
He had dinner with both Greg Selinger and Darrell Dexter. Don't know if Brian Topp was there though.

I've been around for a while now and over the years have noticed that
good honest politicians (there are a few) do not stay in office very long. I wonder why? Guess they can't stand the BS that goes on in their party (regardless of what party they belong to) and just get out.
    1. commonsense posted on 03/12/2013 12:01 PM
@RB_3382 The dishonest ones are the ones that go for power. Why? They want control to keep the secrets away. Why do you think Clark and Dix were so set on their ways? Why is Cummins still leading the BCCP after so much controversy? To keep the secrets away. Guess what folks, all the leaders are hiding from and lying to us. Ask them the hard questions.

@RB_3382 Is that why the NDP ran Carole James out? She was too honest and looked nervous when she was trying to pull one over.
My riding has been very lucky over the years, can't think of too many bad MLAs or MPs in the past 40 years. I can't say the same for a lot of other ones though. Haven't had any accusations of wrong doing here, and any discontent has been politically motivated. Seems more and more, that we're one of the few areas of BC and Canada that can say that.
