Man in wheelchair attacks pregnant woman
VANCOUVER/CKNW (AM980)

3/11/2013

Transit Police are looking for a suspect who assaulted a pregnant woman at Metrotown Skytrain Station.

Around four in the afternoon February 20th, a man in an electric wheelchair pushed his way into the elevator, running over the feet of one of the women inside.

She said she was pregnant and he needed to back off.

He kept running his chair into her.

When they made it to street level, he rammed into her again and when she fell, he kept punching her in the face, head and stomach.

The victim is seven months pregnant.

The suspect is an aboriginal man, about 25-30 years old,  black hair, moustache and goatee, brown eyes, wearing glasses,  and confined to a wheelchair.

What a disgusting shameless act. I don't believe in violence for any reason. I hope she recovers well and the baby is okay. I also hope this man is caught, charged and has the book thrown at him.

Shouldn't be too hard to find this guy. Sounds like a pretty good description.

theres a special place in hell for scumbags like this. I hope the woman and her baby are ok, how traumatizing. One of the busiest stations on the line, and no transit cops anywhere to help her or catch the guy? Well well big surprise there hey.
