The Minister of Citizens' Services and Open Government is condemning the quick wins ethnic voting strategy his own government cooked up.

Government Communications falls in Ben Stewart's ministerial responsibilities and he says the strategy is absolutely inappropriate.

Stewart was asked if he will take a hard look at the communications staff and if any heads could roll.

"I think that the entire cabinet will be looking at it with the lens as to who allowed these things to go on within government when really it is inappropriate to use government resources for any type of partisan activities."

Stewart says results of the ethnic voting strategy investigation could come as early as this week.

Since when did we need a Minister of Citizens Issues and Open Government. If I was Dix, I'd limit the number of ministries to reduce the amount of extra people on payroll. As far as I can see here, this is just a job so he can claim a minister pension. Minister of Citizens Issues and open government.... what a joke.

@AlfredO A quick look into Ben Stewart and I find he is part owner of Quails Gate Winery. Wonder if that had anything to do with the new laws regarding liquor being sold in other businesses owned by the vinter.

@AlfredO Oh come on Alfred. We need a ministry for citizen engagement and open Govt. How else are they going to engage the citizens with all their propaganda. The BC Jobs Plan and Work BC web pages arent going to run themselves you know. As well as the twitter feeds and Facebook pages. which by the way will ban people who post negative comments about the govt.
But yes. You are quite correct. What a joke. I wish I were a 20something working for citizen engagement so I could afford a sport Mercedes too.
