New video footage has been released in the case of a Vancouver woman missing in Los Angeles.

Police have renewed their call for the public's help to find 21-year-old Elisa Lam with a new video and photograph.

The video is surveillance footage from the downtown Cecil Hotel where she was last seen.

It shows Lam getting into an elevator, pushing several buttons, and hiding in a corner. She cautiously peers out a few times, as if looking for someone.

Police say Lam arrived in L.A. Jan. 26, and was last seen at the hotel five days later. 

They say it's not clear why she was traveling, but appeared to be heading to Santa Cruz.
