Premier reaches out to fired DJ

She has been away on holidays and not available to comment on a list of topics.


But Premier Christy Clark has reached out to a DJ who got fired from his job in Courtenay.


Justin "Drex" Wilcombes was let go after asking the Premier a question about being a "MILF".


On his Twitter feed, "Drex" says he's now received a call from the Premier, and she wasn't impressed the interview lead to him getting fired.


He's now picking up some shifts on our brother station CFOX.

    Its all sounding more and more like a CC publicity stunt gone wrong...more Lib scandal. Christy you set the whole thing up to draw in the young male voters acting the "milf" actually Snookie what you are is just that "SNOOKIE".

    Christy - If you have time to call DJs could you please deal with some of the actual business that needs dealing with?

    If you don't want to be Premier just say so. We need someone who won't disappear then there is work to be done.

    Good for her - she found time for a quick phone call to show that she's human and has some empathy! It must have been a slow news day when the interview originally aired as the media blew this one totally out of proportion. Are we getting too serious with ourselves? I don't think it warranted the DJ getting fired.

      Further to your example just look at what the broadcast standards people did - banning a word from a 70's Dire Straights song because of one complaint from a woman from Newfoundland - and they are changing history by changing words in history books etc.....so it will get worse because most people do not understand that this is actually happening

    This women is a an embarrassment to me, and much of BC. I think she is doing the right thing though. Christi's behavior will make more of the free enterprise folks unable to vote Liberal and vote for the Conservatives,

    So in closing I hope the Liberals keep tripping over their dix. (pun intended) and their support goes to the Conservatives. Because BC can not afford another NDP government.
