B.C.’s civilian-oversight body into serious incidents involving police has sent a team to Penticton.
RCMP took a 911 call about a woman in emotional distress there last Friday.
While engaged with police, she jumped from a residential balcony and was seriously hurt.
She's now recovering at a Lower Mainland hospital.
The incident was reported to the Independent Investigations Office yesterday.
Five investigators are on their way to meet with Mounties and start looking into things.
