The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says a body found in Surrey Sunday afternoon is a case of homicide.
The body was found in the 12100 block of Colebrook Road, and reported to mounties around noon.
Cpl. Bari Emam says, "I am able to confirm that the evidence at the scene shows that the body was burnt. In terms of how bad or things like that, those will be some answers that will hopefully come our way in the coming hours or days as the investigators go through the scene."
Emam couldn't confirm the victim's gender or identity.
He says the area is surrounded by farms and not very busy.
Six weeks ago, another person, 26-year-old Jaskaran Singh Sandhu, was found dead also in 12000 block of Colebrook.
