"Can't believe IOC is cutting wrestling!  Huge blow to our sport all over the world".


The Twitter reaction from Carol Huynh of New Hazelton, who won a gold medal for Canada in Beijing and a silver in London.


Earlier today the I-O-C announced it was dropping wrestling from the 2020 games, but it was keeping modern pentathalon, a sport of five disciplines based on what an 18th century cavalry soldier needed to know.


Mark MaCrae is a well-known wrestling coach at Guildford Park secondary in Surrey.


He worries the I-O-C decision will take away the ultimate dream for many kids wrestling today.

    They need to drop the IOC and Olympics altogether!
    People hungry and warring all over the workd and we strive to see who it the best (with drug enhancements of course) at some stupid sport!
    The costs and circus are REdickUlose!
    Isn;t it enough to have world championship games?
    WHY do we need the Olympics to come and starve us all out again?
    It is nothing more than hands in pockets and back scratching favours

    Does it matter? It`s the I.O.C that pull in the millions and pay themselves first and deliver peanuts to those that perform and bring the money in!! It`s all corporate greed anyway.
