The NDP have a lot of work to do before they be handed over the taxpayer's chequebook. They can only form government with 49% plus of the popular vote.

I have written to Mario at Angus Reid explaining how I arrived at my calculations.

Now remember this is only a poll. The true poll is on election day.

Nine elections have come and gone in Canada and not one poll was correct.

Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario, polls showed that the incumbent governments were double digits behind the official opposition parties.

Come election day, all incumbent governments were returned to government.

You have to face the facts here. NDP strongholds will be won by the NDP. Liberal strongholds will be won by the Liberals. Not one conservative will be elected. Good chance that the two independents will win their seats once again. Bob Simpson and Vicky Huntington.

Final outcome will be the winner has at the most only up to a 10 seat majority.

The problem with polls is that too many people take treat these like victories. It's like watching a Canucks game and when they're up 2-0 in the first period, some throw it out there like they are going to win the cup, let alone the game.

Polls are polls. Ratings. The final poll is the only poll that matters since those choices are final.

One thing that they failed to mention is the trend. The NDP has gone down every month for the last several months while the Liberals have gone up.

Dix can't hide forever, saying 'no' to any kind of economic expansion that any interest group is against. You need an economy to pay for promises.

Governments are all the same, except some are better than others.
B.C. is an investment province. Investment give out pay cheques every second Friday.
Investment does not have to co-operate with a NDP government.
In return, they create a slow down and produce lay off slips for the employees.
B.C. has the second highest credit rating in Canada next to Alberta.
B.C. credit rating is AAA-.
B.C. is a "HAVE" province.
B.C. credit rating is higher than all of the banks in Canada, because banks take too much of a chance in giving out loans.
You notice, not once, having a excellent credit rating and being a have province is never mentioned from the constant complainers.

And, we will never know why their legal costs were paid even if they pleaded guilty.

bctaxpayer: If you would go back and do your homework and list the amount of court cases under 13 years of NDP government you would see that the NDP wins in corruption. Note all cases paid by the taxpayers.

insite: Not arguing with you, but former MLA Dave Stupich, NDP minister of finance court fees were paid by the taxpayer and he did not have to return the missing funds of over 1 million dollars. He was found guilty too!
It's government. Will happen regardless of what party is government.

The NDP years in power may have been difficult for some but I cannot sit here and allow the Liberals to get all of the credit for the economy we now have in BC. The economic success of BC is due to the skyrocketing commodity prices that took off when the Liberals came to power. The high commodity prices allowed Campbell to give us a tax break and not affect revenues.

However, this still did not allow them to balance all of their budgets, only 5 of the last 12 and they did this by "robbing" BC Hydro of upwards of $5 billion dollars and they have almost triple our debt, almost $90 billion from the $30 billion the NDP left us.

The NDP were in power during a worldwide economic slow down and also had to deal with the federal government that cut transfer payments to the provinces in the 1990's.

The NDP did give the fast ferry duds but Campbell chose to sell them off at the biggest loss possible to drive it home that the fast ferries were an NDP boondoggle. He made a poor decision here. He should have sold them at the higher price when had the chance.

The Liberals have also done a great job in making the NDP years sound worse than they were and the Liberal years better than they have been.

Economic growth and activity is very cyclical and goes up and down quite often and as we are seeing today commodity prices are falling hence the $1.5 billion deficit that the Liberals are so desperate to erase in their phoney baloney budget next month.

The NDP like it or not. believe it or not balanced all of their budgets and during their last year and half in power the economic growth was already going up as the commodity prices were getting higher, almost 5% growth.

Adrian Dix is hoping that he can trust the budget the Liberals come out with so that he can release the NDP policy book (based on Liberal budget) for the coming election and what they hope to accomplish should they win the election.

The Liberals need to be given a vacation for awhile.

Readers and non-reader commentators, watch the polls over the next few months. The gap will close. Die hard supporters will stick to their roots, idealists will become realists and undeciders will become deciders. It's typical to see this.
