Vancouver police are investigating after two men robbed a jewelry store in Pacific Centre Sunday evening, while the mall was still open.

Sgt. Randy Fincham says two men went into La Swiss Watch City around 5:15 and started to smash display cabinets.

He says they filled bags with jewelry while one of them pointed a gun at staff.

They then ran, releasing a can of bear spray as they left the mall onto West Georgia Street.

Two customers went to hospital to get treatment for exposure to the spray.

Fincham says no shots were fired.

The men were wearing black hoodies with the hoods up, black pants, and are described as Caucasian in their 40s, around 5’8” with medium builds.

Never understood why the display cases aren`t shatterproof. Also, if you want into a jewellery store in Oakridge (at least one store anyway) you have to be buzzed in.
