NDP question new Liberal ad
VANCOUVER/CKNW(AM980)

There's a new BC Government commercial hitting the airwaves - once again, at your expense and that has the NDP crying foul.

Gone are the claims of being number one in job creation--but the latest campaign still touts the economic success of the BC Liberals.

But NDP critic Bruce Ralston says the deep voice, black background and ominous undertones are meant to scare voters about the opposition.

"All points to fear tactics that are well known in the political advertising world, it's a blatantly political ad paid for by the public."

The Liberals have said they will spend 15 million dollars advertising their Jjobs Pplan.

Ah. The old deep voice scare tactic again?
I haven't seen it yet. I hope it measures up to the review.

Usual Dipper knee jerk complaints of zero consequence. This Ralston Dipper seems to have mastered the 'whining' process in order to qualify for a Dipper PHD.

To bad the Dippers have zero plans for encouraging industry and job creation. They just whine.

These Liberals couldn't find better ways to spend OUR money?! It's like a last-chance desperate effort to campaign for May's election. Message to Liberals: stop the spending spree, spend MY money wisely, and leave in May. ANY government that comes in would be an improvement.
    1. MichaelD_10 posted on 01/11/2013 09:55 AM
@AldinaI I don't see many people supporting the cristy clark liberals.
Any government will be better than the Liberals except the NDP.
      Support the Conservatives

I just don't get how people can still support this gov't when so much evidence is out there about how they are not the good fiscal managers they tout themselves to be. The economy did not improve because of the Liberals coming into power, it improved because we had the natural resources that the world needed and those prices skyrocketed and gave provincial revenues a much needed boost after twenty years of decline. The Liberals have only balanced five budgets and did so by "robbing" BC Hydro" The economy over the past 30 years has grown on average 3 percent per year. The debt continues to grow and now because commodity prices are slipping the provincial budget is in the red. We all liked the tax cut we received but we are all paying more out of pocket and being taxed in different ways. Taxes are not a bad thing remember as they used to pay for roads, hospitals, and schools. How many of us have given money to help our hospitals and schools meet their needs and how many of us are now paying road tolls?

@WizardOron What tax cut? I didn't feel it, there was no improvement in my finances - the HST took care of that, as well as all the other increases in fares, rates, gas taxes; etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. Typical BC Lieberal clap trap.

All you BC lie berals out there, can you remember the following. Lies these LIE berals gave us. HST, ,basi - verk jerks lie beral criminals payout of 6 Million $$$$$$ to hush up,no talk,BC rail corruption scandal,BC Hydro lies, 15 million $$$$$, ads so risky Clark can pat herself on the rear, LIE BERSLS POOOOR accomplishments, and so on.Yes risky Clark we will remember all these and more come Election Day,wow will we celebrate,No more BS from Victoria. No more Risky either.
    1. MichaelD_10 posted on 01/11/2013 09:57 AM
@bctaxpayer Thinking there will be no BS out of Victoria is a stretch.
    2. commonsense posted on 01/11/2013 11:17 PM
@bctaxpayer How can you be so blind? BS will NEVER leave Victoria. No matter the government, no matter which decade, there will ALWAYS be BS in Victoria!
  9. WizardOron posted on 01/12/2013 02:11 PM
Giepher, that's my point exactly. We have seen that tax cut from what 2001 disappear. If memory serves it was 25% but I never noticed it as we are taxed in so many other ways and costs have gone up everywhere you turn. They like to brag that we have the lowest tax rate in Canada but fail to recognize that wr cannot afford to spend money on anything because of the shrinking government revenues. Spending cuts is what we are facing and through the magic of governmental accounting practices the $1 billion dollar will magically disappear and become a huge surplus right before election time. What a great government they are. What a laugh. . .no different than any other party that gets into power. . .
    1. Giepher posted on 01/12/2013 02:30 PM
@WizardOron I like thr cut of your jib. Thats why the BC Liberals don't care for Boyle and want to get rid of him before the election; otherwise they won't be able to get away with their accounting wizzardry - the BC Lieberal cread "Now you see it, now you don't. What is sad is that their followers are smitten with this because they all want a piece of the action; AT OUR EXPENSE

With the track record of the BC liebrals I wonder how they managed to get a lady of integrety like Michelle Stilwell to run in Parksville ?

But than theyneeded a big name draw to get any hope of a voter turnout.
