Whether Boundary Similkameen Liberal MLA John Slater will run again seems to be a bit of a mystery.

Sources tell CKNW despite John Slater saying he would run again, he in fact won't be on the ballot.

Several attempts to reach Slater by email, and through his constituency office, have gone unanswered.

The BC Liberal Party in an email, simply said there is no nomination date set for the riding.

Oliver City Councilor Linda Larson confirmed she is interested in the nomination.

But she refused to do an interview until, or if, Slater officially declines to run again.

Slater won the riding in the 2009 Provincial Election fending off a stiff challenge by the NDP.

Im sure the libs will appoint some 20something MBA student to fill the position. My biggest fear though remains, 2 liberals and the rest NDP.

If they are reduced to just 2 seats will they will get crapped on like Campbell and his Liberals did to Macphail and Kwan.Oh! How the cry of mistreatment will be in the air from the Liberals! Adrian Dix will keep it low and respectful I do believe but I was wishing some payback! Go NDP Go! come on spinners!
