A judge has sentenced the latest person to plead guilty in the Stanley Cup riot.

Richard MacMillan, now 27 years old, will serve six months in the community and one year probation.

The judge sternly cautioned MacMillan he will only stay out of jail if a number of conditions are held up, including not associating with any kind of drugs or alcohol and staying out of Starbucks.

MacMillan smashed a Starbucks window an hour into the riot, later telling police he saw it as an opportunity to show his contempt for the large corporation.

The judge says MacMillan's family history and mental conditions were mitigating factors in sentencing.

Another slap on the wrist - I bet this slap did not even cause any pain!

So many people are mentally unstable these days but I would bet that more will claim this condition to get out of any punishment rightly deserved

Smashing a window, I think maybe to pay it back would have been in order. Maybe he had a wealthy family and was not poor enough for jail time!
