Unionized support staff are picketing at Douglas College's New Westminster campus today.
College spokesman Sean Kelly says all classes have been cancelled there, while services such as the library will also be shut down.
"It’s just one day so far. It's not that the point where anyone should be worried about disruption to the semester. Students are taking it in stride."
The school's Coquitlam campus will hold classes as usual.
The support staff, under the BC Government Employees Union, voted more than three quarters in favour in strike action earlier this month.
