Simon Fraser University has announced former Premier Gordon Campbell will deliver a speech tonight at the Vancouver Aquarium, but the public and media are not allowed in.

Campbell, who is Canada's High Commissioner to Great Britain and is paid by the Canadian taxpayer, is the keynote speaker at a Canada/U-K conference.

Yawn! Dont forget your red mittens.....who in thier right mind would put any degree of credence to the trash this criminal spews out...

Campbell, I will always, and only remember you as 1 thing " a drunk driver" that didnt have the wherewithal to step down and show some respect to the people of this province...you're an embarassment to this country sent by Harper out of this country to keep your trap shut...

I agree with Ron, how's this news?? Seems like someone is trying to create a story.

As for "taxed to death", that's a heck of a chip you're carrying around on your shoulder, I suspect you're a member of the BCTF.
You probably voted against the HST didn't you?

@pault_8515 HST your damn right i did...anyone in thier right mind did....you explain to me how paying more in taxes to me as an indivudal is of any benefit? Everything, and I mean everything I do is now taxable... get out from under the rock

@pault_8515 How isn't news? The former premier is in town, on our dime, on the eve of a provincial election, where his actions are the subject of controversy, and he is not interested in speaking to the public. How is this not news?

I wonder why he doesn't want to face the public?!
  6. ChrisM_18 posted on 11/14/2012 01:36 PM
With an ego a big as his, you have to think that it must really burn Campbell's ass to know that he continues to be thought so poorly of in his home province . I wonder how he explains away the public sentiment to himself when he looks in the mirror ?
All the money and prestige over in London can't hide the fact that the guy is a failure as a Premier

Cool it! These comments will still exist if Adrian Dix becomes premier. All the complaining about B.C. LIberals, Christy Clark, Gordon Campbell, will now be NDP, Adrian Dix, etc.
Here is some free advice. The race in life is a long one, it is only with yourself. Your chances in life are only at half mast, so is everyone else's. Both Jim SinClair and Susan Lambert preach that the hip pocket is the most important in life. Do not believe them. Walking out of a doctor's office with a terminal disease cannot cure you with the hip pocket. Ask billionaire, many times over, Warren Buffet, he has cancer. Remember all governments are the same in every way, shape, and form, BUT REMEMBER, SOME ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS.
If you don't care to absorb this information then maybe BCTaxpayer, TonyB, Garp, and the readers consultant, Ken280, who believes that just because you are 50 miles away from home, you are a consultant, will team up together and get that long awaited NDP temple built.

@joes_2868 News flash buddy - your arogant bullying isn't going to gain the Liberals any more votes - in fact it just may turn off a few more people

@joes_2868 Actually the bureaucrats who have been there for eons have the power - I know from speaking with Politicians who have retired that many of them deliberately tell lies just to keep their jobs and their own heirarchies and hence is why Politicians who have good intentions cannot make changes because their efforts are thwarted at every turn. Perhaps the bureaucracies in all 3 levels across the ecountry should all be fired....
