A Canadian wanted on charges involving the sexual assault of children has been deported from Australia.

Jamieson Richard Glendinning was arrested on Friday at Vancouver International Airport, after arriving on a flight from Sydney.

In June, a warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to make a scheduled court appearance in Surrey.

Since investigators caught up to him in October, he was held in an Australian immigration detention centre.

He's been denied bail until his next court date in Surrey on November 20th.

The accused, who is now in his 60's,  worked with the Tsawwassen amateur baseball association between 1985 and 1995.
