It took four and a half hours in heavy rain and wind, but search crews found an overdue boater off Point Roberts early Monday morning.
His 20-foot motorboat broke down on a trip across Boundary Bay to Crescent Beach. His wife called for help at 9 p.m.
A Cormorant helicopter from CFB Comox eventually spotted him, and the Coast Guard hovercraft rescued him at 1:30 a.m.
Other than mild hypothermia, the man was okay.
