Fraser Health says progress has made after the Health Ministry issued a directive for improvements to be made in five areas of care within 150 days.

Then-Health Minister Mike Dejong issued the directive back in June.

Fraser Health says the targets set out have been met in three areas -- and says there has been improvement in the other two.

In a report, the authority says the number of patients being treated in non-clinical care locations, like hallways, has been reduced by 60%.

The rate of c-difficile infection has been reduced by almost 40 percent.

One of the areas still needing improvement -- is reducing the average length of stay -- that's been reduced to 8.1 days from 8.4.

The target was 7.9.
