Deputy Premier says people need to give Christy Clark a chance

The Deputy Premier is dismissing an Angus Reid poll which seems to show the public is none too fond of Christy Clark.

Rich Coleman was asked if he was surprised respondants to the poll found the premier to be "out of touch" "arrogant" "secretive" and "inefficient."

"Yeah because she is not any of those. If I wanted to describe her she is one of the best people I have ever worked with in my life with regards to leadership and that is in the corporate and the political sector she is decisive, she is bright, she makes good decisions, she is well read with regards to...and she is terrific with the public, and she is anything but arrogant."

Coleman says people just aren't giving Clark a chance but he says if they do she will win them over.

He is also, for the second time in a week, predicting the BC Liberals will win the spring election.

I consider myself pretty average and I listened to Christy as a radio talk show host and found her to be a mile wide but an 1/8 of an inch thick. She really isn't Premier material and on a number of occasions I listened to Bill Good try to tell her so in a very nice way. Nothing she has done as Premier has changed my opinion.

How long of a chance does he suggest we give her? It's already been nearly two years and she was an MLA from 1996-2005 before that. I think we know her pretty well and what we see, we apparently don't like. Oh, and Rich? You're on your way out the door too. We don't like you either....

Iwould say Coleman is more concerned about his not getting
in on the gravy train in 2013.

Coleman, Clark and DeJong.....Yes, they are catering to
    their corporate sector supporters.

What has Christy Clark really done for the everyday taxpayer in
    B.C., besides nothing?

@DeceitinDrugsD I would love to answer but this is a public forum and it would not be allowed.

      Think Deliverance though.

The reason he is "giving her a chance" is because she allows him to do what he wants. Bring it on Rich. May cannot come soon enough.

I don't care who you are, that there is FUNNY! The esteemed Mr. Coleman is looking somewhat disturbed lately. I mean, much more disturbed than usual. Is it magic mushroom season? that would explain the delusions.

Both chubby Coleman and risky Clark are not the type of people we want to govern our Prov. Lets give them a big BOOT in May.Both have shown and displayed arrogance to the fullest.

Where in the 'real world' could you screw up so badly for 2 years and still be given 'another chance'??????

@SGP ANYwhere where you can BUY VOTES
Bollywood will buy some more Indie votes (usually NDP)
and next....the Asians (again and again)
All you have to do in BC is get a couple of main ethnic groups and you are in!! B-BAM!! Warm up the buses Libs - time to drive your ethnic groups to the polls. It is no longer a fair vote - is the SUCK UP vote that counts - you really think Obama wins cos he is the best guy for the job? hahahaha

Bah hah hah hah hah, OMG, ROFLMAO! Seriously Richie? Give her a chance? What's been happening since she became the fiberal's fearless leader? I'll tell you.... NOTHING!! She is as useless as b00bs on a hen!

And no, Richie, your fiberals are not going to win the election, if you win a seat, I'll be surprised.

    Vote BC Conservatives.

Based only what is printed (above) on this story, it is refreshing to see a story where Mr.Coleman isn't having to defend himself about his actions or comments:

    Such as :

The JVD disease, temporarily-shelved LDB privatization, tax break for a brewery that got too big, inappropriate calls to Surrey councillors, dumping on a local Casino decision.

Also, he thinks it is okay to buy high from IPPs and sell low (if there is even a demand for electricity in the spot market). As a result, the unsaleable power is distributed to BC consumers and industry. The IPP contracts require BC Hydro to pay for and use expensive IPP power instead of generating power at its current low cost. Of course, the purpose of a Dam is to store water and provide the necessary head to efficiently generate power. But, when the damn reservoir.is full, the excess water has to go spill over the dam. That is like spilling milk-expensive.

This is way off topic but it underscores the notion that Mr.Coleman unneccearily puts Premier Clark in the spotlight by discussing her unpopularity with voters. She does not need her negative attributes to be front and centre.

But, as they say, with friends like Mr. Coleman, who needs enemies?

I think Coleman should seriously consider retirement. He's become so stale and arrogant. He doesn't care what the voters are thinking or telling him. This whole Liberal Party are behaving like dictators in ramming through the HST, carbon tax, smart meters among other policies. Nice going, oh ya, "Families First "! think not as BC has the 2nd worst child poverty in Canada.

The Liberals are imploding from within. There is more to come!
    1. miltw posted on 02/07/2013 06:52 AM
@HJDH wouldn't it be sweet if BC had an election and didn't tell the Liebrals what day it was until 2 weeks after the fact .

This coming from Mr. Credibility, himself. Deputy Premier and Minister of pretty much everything, now that so many Fiberals have either stepped down or announced they won't be running in May. I guess they just decided to take their golden pensions and retire in the Cayman Islands, which isn't all bad. They're not welcome in BC, that's for sure.

Was Mr. Honesty talking about the same Camera Queen we all know and despise or is there a Crissy Milf Doll (probably blow up ) that we don't know about that has told him how smart , wonderful with a multicultural heart it is that only some one of his powerful intellect hears as a mantra inside his head at night ?

-"respondants to the poll found the premier to be "out of touch" "arrogant" "secretive" and "inefficient." Replace the word "premier" with "Rich Coleman" and the result would be the same

The Photo-Op Princess, The Flip-Flop Floozy, The Desperate Housewife of West Van...all well-earned titles for a woman who has single-handedly diminished the hard-earned respect that intelligent, politically astute women have striven for over the past 30 years!

Richie Rich you really need to loosen your belt buckle another notch to allow more oxygen to reach your Neanderthal Noggin.
