Work starts soon on Evergreen line

A consortium lead by SNC-Lavalin, "EGRT Construction", has been awarded an 890 million dollar contract to design, build and finance the Evergreen line.


It's expected eight thousand jobs will be created during the construction of the line.


Work begins in February.


And that work will include building a two kilometre tunnel, and seven stations.

    BY_7463: Be happy if your NDP wins government. Then they can put the project on hold to increase the wages of every B.C. taxpayer that is on the government payroll.

    Remember that this project is also funded by the federal and municipal governments.

    Hope there was no bribes involved. This company is out of Queerbec and has been implicated in numerous bribes all over the world as well as in Canada. Millions paid out and the Ex CEO said he was unaware of this. How does millions get paid out and the CEO not know of it. Ya right.

    satisfy 200,000 and ignore over 500,000...890 million would allow for an extention from king george station to downtown langley and NO tunnels. why are we taxpayers south of the fraser being continually ignored ?.
