I-I-O investigates after man injured during arrest
VANCOUVER/CKNW (AM980)

1/15/2013

BC'S new Independent Investigations Office is investigating a late-December arrest involving the Vancouver Police Department.

Officers were trying to subdue a stressed-out, very agressive 26 year old man.

During that attempt, he was injured and taken to hospital.

He's still there.

11 staff have now been assigned to the case, in part to provide support to that man and his family.

11 staff assigned to support this man?

Stressed out, aggresive man.....Police are the
last resort left to deal with people, who have
    reached the breaking point.

There need to be more supports in place, tied to the
health care, social services Ministries, where by
this type of high risk situation occurs, due to lack
of support to families and persons affected by mental
    health issues.

@speakup Well you will have to go to a real news out let to find the whole story. CKNW is just an influence peddling device for the princes of commerce. You know? The guys that pay for the election campaigns of all official political parties.
