An 11 year old boy is in hospital after a hit and run in Surrey this afternoon.

Staff Sgt. Bob Pinkewycz says it happened about 3:30 at 82nd Avenue and 154A Street.

He says the boy had gotten off a school bus which had stopped on 82nd, and he was crossing the street.

"Dark coloured Honda, either a Civic or an Accord, crossed the double solid line going westbound, passed the bus, and just as the child had cleared the front end, resulted in a collision."

The boy is in stable condition.

The vehicle was last seen going south on 152nd.
