Premier Christy Clark is comparing her comments yesterday about a "sick culture in Victoria" to those of U-S President Barack Obama.
"How often have you heard President Obama refer to "those folks in Washington"? Do any of us think that he's talking about the unemployed workers or the people that area sleeping on street corners in cardboard boxes? No, we know he's talking about the politicians and the pundits and I meant this in exactly the same way."
Clark tells Al Ferraby of CFAX radio in Victoria her comments were taken out of context by a reporter for the National Post.
Clark was slammed by some after making the "sickness" comments, who said if a culture change is needed in the Legislature, as Premier, she should be leading the way to change.
