Kenny Miller jumped on a loose ball mid way through the second half and slotted home the game winner as the Vancouver Whitecaps picked up their second consecutive win to begin the season, 2-1 over the Columbus Crew at BC Place.
Daigo Kobayashi opened the scoring in the opening half of the game with a nifty strike from long distance, but Columbus replied with the equalizer in the opening minute of the second half as Jairo Arrieta converted a shot past Whitecaps keeper Joe Cannon.
Vancouver moves to 2-0 on the season and will now hit the road for three games beginning two weeks from today in Houston.
