Unconfirmed reports have indicated that BC Place may be the site for the Vancouver Canucks to host a Heritage Classic NHL regular season game in 2014.

Edmonton hosted the first Heritage Classic outdoor game back in 2003 while Calgary hosted the game back in 2011.  The Montreal Canadiens were the opponents in both of those matches and would be a favorite to be the opponent again in a coast to coast all Canadian matchup.

The same report has indicated that Winnipeg would also be in line to host an outdoor game in 2016 at the new Investors Group Field, which would seat over 40000 fans.  Vancouver or Toronto could be likely opponents if that Heritage game were to be confirmed.
