Realignment is once again the topic of conversation in the NHL and from the look of the latest proposal to get leaked out, the West would be a 14 team conference while the East would grow to 16.  Both Fox Sports West and the CBC have released details of the new Conference proposal: 

Division A: Washington, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Carolina, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey, Columbus

Division B: Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, Florida, Montreal, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Toronto

Division C: Chicago, Dallas, Colorado, Minnesota, Nashville, St. Louis, Winnipeg

Division D: Los Angeles, Anaheim, Phoenix, San Jose, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton

According to FOX, NHL teams are being notified of the changes, with the official announcement to be made by early March.  Playoff details have not yet been finalized.
