The Vancouver Canucks battled to a 1-all draw against the Chicago Fire to wrap up their 2013 Carolina Challenge Cup pre-season tournament.

Vancouver needed a win to claim the title, the tie gave Chicago the honour.

Darren Mattocks scored the lone goal for the Whitecaps, who now head to North Carolina for a Sunday afternoon match against the Carolina Railhawks.

The Whitecaps open the 2013 MLS regular season schedule next Saturday, March 2, against Toronto FC at BC Place Stadium.
