Canucks Forward Jannik Hansen has been suspended for one game for last night's hit to the head of Black Hawks forward Marian Hossa.
The NHL felt that Hansen's play on the puck was reckless and that he closed his hand when delivering the blow to the back of Hossa's head, which the NHL believed was reckless and careless.
Jannik Hansen will forfeit $7,297.30 to Players' Emergency Assistance Fund and be unavailable for the Canucks game tomorrow night when they take on the Dallas Stars.
