The Baltimore Ravens built up a 28-6 lead early in the third quarter and then had to hang on as the San Francisco 49ers stormed back before falling short in the final moments of the game. Baltimore wins Super Bowl XLVII 34-31 and become champions for the first time since 2000.
Ravens Quarterback Joe Flacco has been named the MVP of the game after completing 22 of 33 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns.
Ray Lewis finishes on top of the NFL world as a Super Bowl Champion...the 17 year veteran and future hall of famer was a key member of the Ravens playoff run and returned to play in the playoffs after tearing his tricep in a game mid-way through the season.
