Team Canada has pulled off what may be considered one of the biggest upsets in Davis Cup history. Milos Raonic defeated Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 to knock off the #1 seeded Spain and move on to the quarterfinals in the event for the first time in team history. Canada wins their third match and clinched their rubber with the Raonic victory. The win will have to rank as the greatest tennis triumph in Canadian history.
Raonic was dominant throughout and never dropped a service game throughout the weekend in winning both his matches.
Canada will now face Italy in the Quarter Finals in April.
