Toronto Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulis, Langley's Brett Lawrie and pitcher Brandon Morrow were on hand today at the Hotel Vancouver for the annual Vancouver Canadians Hot Stove Luncheon.
Anthopoulis has pulled off major trades and free agent signings this off season, vaulting the Jays back into the picture as World Series contenders, a title they haven't won since Joe Carter hit his walk off homer 20 years ago.
Lawrie and Morrow are excited to get onto the diamond and know that the team gelling early will be a key to Toronto's success this season.
Pitchers and catchers report to spring training in just 16 days.
