Geroy Simon's time with the BC Lions may be nearing an end.
According to various reports, the Lions have given Simon's agent permission to seek a trade with another CFL team after the two sides have been unable to agree on a re-structed contract.
The 37-year-old Simon has spent 12 of his 14 CFL seasons with the Lions, and last year passed Milt Stegall for first place on the all-time receiving yards list.
Lions' general manager Wally Buono said Tuesday that he's still hopeful he can re-sign Simon.
But the longer they remain apart, the more likely they will have to make a move, either a trade or an outright release.
When contacted by CKNW, Simon declined to comment on the report, but said he will speak next week.
