The New England Revolution took Louisville defender Andrew Farrell first overall in the MLS SuperDraft on Thursday.
Toronto traded the pick to New England in exchange for the fourth pick and allocation money, which helps it expand its salary cap. 

Toronto, using a pick acquired in a December deal with the Portland Timbers, used the third overall selection to take Canadian midfielder Kyle Bekker.
Bekker, who's from Oakville, Ont., played at Boston College and turned heads at the recent MLS Combine.

Toronto then swapped the fourth pick for Vancouver's 10th pick and allocation money.

The Whitecaps used the fourth pick to take Gambian-born forward Kekuta Manneh. The 18-year-old, seen as a speedy project, was one of the players to make an impression at the combine.

Vancouver then took Santa Clara's Erik Hurtado, a fast and athletic forward.
