The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenceman Cam Barker to a one year contract.
Barker is 26 and now joins his fourth NHL teams after stops in Chicago, Minnesota and Edmonton. Barker was originally drafted 3rd overall by the Chicago Black Hawks in the 2004 draft after a stellar junior career with the Medicine Hat Tigers.
The Canucks kick off their 2013 NHL season at home next Saturday versus the Anaheim Ducks.
