Canada opens with a win at World Juniors

The World Junior Hockey championships kicked off today in Ufa Russia and Team Canada did the expected this morning and kicked Germany 9-3.

Eight different goal scorers for Canada in this one while Captain Ryan Nugent-Hopkins kicked of the tournament with a five point game. Jonathon Huberdeau also kicked in with one goal and one assist while Mark Schiefele added a pair of goals.

Canada's top line chipped in for ten points while Malcolm Subban stopped 25 of 28 shots in the victory.

Canada's next game will be against Slovakia on Friday morning.
