Team Canada forward Boone Jenner has been suspended for the first three games of the World Junior Hockey Championship.
That's the ruling from the International Ice Hockey Federation for a late hit in Canada's final tuneup game against Sweden on Saturday.
Jenner was assessed a five-minute major for charging and a game misconduct.
Swedish defenceman Jesper Pettersson suffered a dislocated shoulder and a fractured wrist as a result of the check and will have sit out the tournament.
Jenner will be eligible to return to the Canadian lineup in time for their final game of the round-robin against Russia.
