Krys Kolanos scored a power play goal in regulation and added the shootout winner as the Abbotsford Heat edged the Texas Stars 2-1 in AHL action on Saturday night.

Barry Brust posted his 8th win of the season between the pipes for the Heat, stopping 39 of 40 shots faced.

The Heat remain first in the AHL with 36 points and now head out on a six game road trip that will take them through Christmas and into the New Year.
