The official emblem for the FIFA Women's World Cup to be held in Canada for 2015 was unveiled today in Vancouver.
The logo, a multi-coloured maple leaf with a human figure in the middle, was revealed to a national television audience originating from BC Place Stadium, with many of the Canadian Women's Soccer Team in attendance.
Among those in attendance was team captain and Canadian athlete of the year Christine Sinclair of Burnaby. Sinclair insured all in attendance that she will play in 2015 for Canada and beleives that she will still be in peak physical condition at that point in her career.
FIFA and the CSA will announce which of the host teams, (Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal or Moncton) will be named the host of the final game of the tourney in mid-March.
