NHL owners and union officials are negotiating again at league headquarters today, the 67th day of the lockout.
The Players" Association presented a new proposal to the league, one that Executive Director Donald Fehr termed, "comprehensive, and about as good as we can do."
Fehr indicated the union had put forward a percentage-based proposal that takes into account the damage caused by the lockout.
He said the sides are $182-million apart over the five-year deal.
The NHL is expected to offer a response by this afternoon.
