The Calgary Stampeders are heading to the 100th Grey Cup after knocking off the defending Grey Cup Champions, the BC Lions 34-29 at BC Place Satdium.
Big plays were the story of the day for Calgary, who lit up the best defense in the CFL all day long. Calgary QB Kevin Glenn threw TD passes of 68, 29 and 57 yards in the win for Calgary.
Glenn was brought in to play quarterback for the injured Drew Tate, who was lost to injury in last weekend’s West Semi-Final.
BC was unable to score an offensive touchdown until late in the game when Travis Lulay found Nick Moore.
But the onside kick was recovered by the Stampeders and they will move on to face the Toronto Argonauts in the 100th Grey Cup Championship next Sunday in Toronto.
